AmeriCorps members Brie McIntosh and Ryan Smith will be providing equipment in conjunction with Oswego City-County Youth Bureau and the city of Oswego for games and activities for youth in the city parks.
The summer AmeriCorps goal is to help give area youth opportunities to become physically active and make healthy nutritional choices. Anyone who enjoys basketball, soccer, kickball and more are invited to attend. In addition to sporting activities, the AmeriCorps members will also be providing fun crafts to do.
The summer schedule starts June 29th and ends on August 22. Children under 12 are encouraged to have an adult or responsible person with them.
The schedule is as follows:
Monday, Wednesday and Friday:
Breitbeck Park: 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
East Park (Washington Square): 2p.m.-4p.m.
Tuesday and Thursday:
West Park (Franklin Square): 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Oak Hill Park: 2p.m.-4p.m.
