Coordinated by VEGA, SUNY Oswego’s women’s honor society, the event will be sponsored by Auxiliary Services.
“United Way could not be more excited that the SUNY Oswego community is once again aiding our cause,” Lois Luber, resource development director at United Way of Greater Oswego County, said. “Their undivided commitment has raised more awareness and provided continuous aid to our community members in need.”
On Oct. 4, the 5k registration will begin at noon in front of Lanigan Hall. The first 150 participants to register will receive free T-shirts. There is a $5 registration fee, which is directly donated to United Way, which gives all profit back to the Oswego community.
The walk begins in front of Lanigan Hall at 1:00 pm. Take in the beauty of the changing seasons while enjoying complimentary snacks and be sure to enter the drawing for prizes. Supporters who are unable to participate, but wish to contribute, can do so by making a donation at www.oswegounitedway.org.
