Super DIRT Week 2023 racing action begins in earnest on Thursday afternoon at Oswego Speedway.
In a schedule change announced on Wednesday evening, DIRT officials have decided to have all four divisions do their time trials today.
Nick Graziano, Senior Public Relations Manager for World Racing Group, said, "All divisions are qualifying today. The adjustment has allowed for a flex schedule to give fans, competitors and officials the biggest window possible to complete the racing events on Friday."
The original schedule originally called for only the 358 Modified and Pro Stock classes to be in action on Thursday, with the Big Block Modifieds and Sportsman Modifieds scheduled to qualify on Friday.
The Pro Stocks, Sportsmen and 358's will time trial on Thursday afternoon. The six fastest drivers in each class will be locked into their feature starting fields.
Following opening ceremonies at 7:20 pm the Big Block Modifieds will have a practice session. DIRTcar Pro Stocks will run their heats, followed by time trials to lock in the first 3 rows of the Billy Whittaker Cars and Trucks 200 on Sunday.
Following Big Block time trials, four 20-lap 358 Modified heats will conclude Thursday's on-track action.
A DJ party will be held beginning at 10:30 pm at the Island Stage.
In other Super DIRT Week 2023 news, DIRT is offering some great ticket deals for Thursday and Friday: Oswego residents can buy one daily ticket and get one free! College student admission is only $10 each day, and children 12-and-under get in free.
NAPA Super DIRT Week takes place at the Oswego Speedway on East Albany Street in Oswego.
