Super DIRT Week 51 will finally be able to set the mighty modifieds loose on ⅝-mile clay oval at the Steel Palace.

After a wet weekend that saw more than 3 inches of rain fall on Oswego Speedway, Monday morning had dawned with clearing skies. Super DIRT Week 51 will finally be able to set the mighty modifieds loose on ⅝-mile clay oval at the Steel Palace.

Following brief opening ceremonies at 11:00 a.m., the Salute To The Troops 150 for the 358 Mods will take the green flag. Defending champion Matt Sheppard will try to grab another SDW checkered flag.

The Chevrolet Performance 50 for DIRTcar Sportsmen will follow the 358 race; then comes the Big One - the Billy Whittaker Cars 200 for the Super DIRT Series Big Block Modifieds!

Sheppard was also the 2022 winner of the 200, but he will face stiff competition from pole starter Jimmy Phelps, past race winner Mat Williamson, Max McLaughlin and several others.

Saturday and Sunday tickets will be honored at the gates today.

According to reports from the Speedway, "...the track appears to be in excellent shape considering how much rain has fallen."

All of us at iHeart Oswego wish the drivers, crews, track workers and fans a safe and successful finish to the 51st edition of NAPA Super DIRT Week,  and look forward to 2024!
