Space is still available to participate in the Boat Building Weekend being offered by the The H. Lee White Marine Museum and Maritime Center in partnership with the SUNY Oswego's Department of Technology and Raby's ACE Home Center.

The program will take place in Oswego's "Historic Maritime District" Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 28-30. You and your family can join in an instructional, hands-on program that culminates in a completed boat for your family's use.

This is the museum's seventh year offering this unique opportunity and there are three styles of boats to choose from. All materials are provided, but a limited number of kits are available.

Compared to other boat building programs in the Northeast, this workshop is made more affordable thanks to the generous support of Raby's ACE Home Center.

At least one responsible adult, parent or guardian older than 18 years old, must be included in each family or group. Due to the skill required to complet the project, there is an age minimum of 9 years old for the children. Groups of at least two are requested.

Those interested must register as soon as possible and pre-payment is required. Space is limited, so participation will be on a first registered and paid basis.
