Third Annual County-Wide Blood Drive A Success

On Saturday, February 9th, 2019, the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the Town of Scriba Volunteer Fire Department, hosted its third annual county wide blood drive, in support of local law enforcement.

With the help and efforts of the American Red Cross, the drive resulted with 25 units of blood being collected from a range of community members, Police Officers and their supporters. The blood drive has averaged just above 20 units of blood for the past few years, with the American Red Cross stating the constant need of blood is at emergency levels.

The Sheriff’s Office has also hosted a gift basket each year, inclusive of the 50/50 attendee raffle, with proceeds benefitting the American Red Cross this year and the Badge of Honor Association in year’s past. The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office would like to extend its gratitude to the members of the community for their continued support of its Deputies as well as the other local law enforcement agencies. Thank you to those of you who have continued to support this great cause and those of you yet to come as well as to the American Red Cross and the Scriba volunteers who help make this event possible each year!
