Thompson, a second year Supermodified driver this season, will also compete in this weekend’s inaugural Syracuse Indoor Auto Race on Friday night, and again on Saturday, March 9. The teenager will spend air time on 95.1FM talking about the upcoming event in Syracuse.
“Our TQ is ready for the weekend and we’ll have our ISMA Supermodified on display at the Motorsports Expo as well. I’m excited to hop back behind the wheel,” Thompson said. “I’ll also be on 95X this Friday at 8:45 and would love to have everyone tune in and listen.”
The Jason Simmons Racing No. 98T winged Super will be displayed in the ISMA booth at the Syracuse Motorsports Expo. ISMA’s setup will be located just behind the Oswego Speedway display.
Thompson will also take part in two autograph sessions at the Oswego booth, held on each day of the Motorsports Expo at noon. Several other Oswego Speedway competitors are also expected to attend the signings.
Expo hours this weekend are 10am to 8pm on Saturday and 11am to 4pm on Sunday. Tickets are $13 for adults, $5 for kids 6-12 years of age, and FREE for children under the age of 5. A two day pass is available for $20.
This weekend’s Indoor Auto Race, which will see TQ Midget qualifying action presented by the Oswego Speedway, is slated to begin at 7:30pm on Friday. Another full program will commence at 7:00pm on Saturday.
The Syracuse Indoor Race will be held inside the new Exposition Center at the Fairgrounds, located just steps from the Center of Progress Building, which plays host to the Syracuse Motorsports Expo.
Oswego Speedway’s 69th season of racing gets underway on Saturday, May 25 with Jim Shampine Memorial Twin 50’s for the Novelis Supermodifieds plus full programs for the Pathfinder Bank Small Block Supers and the 350 Supermodifieds.
