The reception for the Local Landscapes and Landmarks Art Exhibition opens at the Art Association Thursday from 6 to 7:30 hosted by Assemblyman Will Barclay. Free and open to the public.
Also Thursday is open mic at Curtis Manor from 5 to 10 pm hosted by John McConnell. Sign-ups begin at 5 pm. John performs for the first hour or so.
The opening reception for the Native New York show is Friday from 5 to 7 pm in Tyler Art Gallery, along with Sofia Perez’ show in the Corner Gallery of the second floor of Tyler Hall. Both events are free of charge.
And you will see lots of student artwork everywhere in the hallways of the second floor. Some amazing stuff.
And while you are on campus, check out Craig Walsh’s Monuments in front of Penfield library…after dark.
Saturday Art with Coffee resumes with Lee Shelton’s Soft Pastel Workshop from 10 am to noon. Not to be missed. Small fee. All materials provided. All ages.
And then Saturday night is the opening reception, from 7 to 9 pm, for Pictures and Things, driftwood sculptures by Joanne Henry and photography by Ottavio Melucci… also at the Art Association…also a free event.
