Every individual, adult and child, who attends the Fulton Art Association’s shows are allowed to vote for their favorite piece from all of the entries in the show.
The winner of that public vote is awarded the Viewers’ Choice Award. Often the public does not agree with the judges’ choices, so this gives them a chance to choose their favorite entry in the show.
At the Fulton Art Association’s 16th annual High School Art and Photography show and competition held March 15-16, 2025 at the Art Scene, 12th grader Olivia Kuc from Hannibal won the public’s vote for Viewers’ Choice Award with her Ceramic entry entitled Garden Home, pictured top left. Olivia received a ribbon and $50 award, comparable to the judge’s selection for Best of Show.
Second place was a tie between VeeVi Anderson (12th grade – Oswego) for “A Queen’s Downfall”, top left, in 3D and Molli Ruggio (10th grade – Oswego) for her entry in Mixed Media entitled “House”, bottom left.
Third place in the public vote went to Kadae Hunley (12th grade – Oswego) for her acrylic painting, “Mona Lisa.”(bottom right)
