Kapuscinski, who recently joined Weedsport Speedway’s public relations team, will continue at The Port in 2018 and as a result will carry Weedsport Speedway colors on his Oswego Small Block Supermodified, helping to promote events at the 3/8-mile clay oval.
“Al Heinke and Jimmy Phelps were fantastic to work with in 2017 and I look forward to continuing that partnership in 2018,” said Kapuscinski. “Weedsport events and Oswego events rarely conflict. In fact, we have seen a lot of cross over in the last year. With that said, we hope to generate fans through the front gate at each facility with this partnership between myself, Weedsport, and Missile Motorsports.”
Weedsport Speedway recently announced its opening night of action set for Sunday, May 20 featuring the DIRTcar Big Block Modified Icebreaker 50. The Icebreaker will be the first of four Big Block events at Weedsport in 2018, which will also see three stops by the Super DIRTcar Big Block Modified Series later in the year.
The entire Weedsport Speedway schedule is expected to be announced on Thursday, December 14.
