Write a commentWilliam L. Lalande, 79, of Oswego, passed away Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013 in the Oswego Hospital.
Born in Oswego, he was a son of the late John and Marie McKeone Lalande.
Mr. Lalande served in the U.S. Air Force Strategic Air Command.
He had been employed for many years at the Marathon Paper Company and at SUNY Oswego for 20 years.
Mr. Lalande graduated from St. Mary's School and was a well know patron of Friendly's Restaurant and Ponderosa.
He is survived by his sister, Jane Larock, of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Lalande was predeceased by four brothers, Thomas Lalande, James Lalande, Joseph Lalande and John Lalande; and two sisters, Marie Harrington and Emily Lalande.
A calling hour will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Monday, Sept. 9, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 E. Second St., in Oswego, with a service to follow at 12 p.m. .
Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
