2025-26 SUNYAC Men's Ice Hockey Preseason Poll Announced

The SUNYAC releases its 2025-26 men's ice hockey preseason poll as voted on by the conference coaches.

Hobart was voted No. 1 in the poll while Oswego is No. 2 and Plattsburgh is No. 3.

Hobart enters its first season competing in the SUNYAC. Last year the Statesmen won the national championship with a 2-1 overtime win against Utica. This was the program's third national championship (2023, 2024, 2025). Hobart ended its 2024-25 season with just one loss, 29-1-1.

Last season, Oswego was the No. 2 seed going into SUNYAC post season play. The Lakers went on to win the conference championship title. It was the programs 11th overall league crown and its first men's ice hockey championship win since 2014. Oswego finished the 2024-25 season in the first round of the NCAA tournament with a overall record of 16-9-3.

Plattsburgh finished the 2024-25 regular season ranked No. 4 in the conference and advanced to the championship game. The team ended the season 16-11-1 overall. This season, the Cardinals will compete to capture their 25th overall conference trophy, the last was in 2023.
