However, they recently wrote on their page they would hold reunion shows pending how far the Syracuse Orangemen’s basketball team gets through the NCAA Tournament.
The promotion wrote on their Facebook page this message:
Breaking 2CW/SU Update : (New News) Share !
As stated before if the SU's Men's Basketball team can win the NCAA Tournament this year, 2cw will return for a year of shows.
NOW : *****JUST ADDED***** READ***
If SU Men's Basketball can win 2 GAMES this weekend (make the sweet sixteen) we will add ONE reunion show within the next 365 Days.
Remember SU is at 12:15 p.m. today ! Let's go ORANGE !!!
Professional wrestler Brute VanSlyke, a former 2CW wrestler, commented, “I feel it's what everyone has wanted, both fans and wrestlers. It’s been a short time since 2CW felt the need to step away but the void caused from it has been massive. Everyone was going to root for SU but now a lot of people have more riding on it because there's nothing like having a 2CW experience.”
While VanSlyke wants the show to go on, another former 2CW wrestler, Isys Ephex, simply had this to say, “LET'S GO DAYTON FLYERS!!”
Avid fan Chris Beshures stated that “A reunion show would be awesome! It'd be great to have another 2CW get-together... all the wrestlers, all the fans, all the excitement for one more time.”
If you’re a fan of professional wrestling and a fan of 2CW, make sure you root for the Syracuse Orangemen Men’s Basketball Team in the NCAA Tournament. While you chant for “Let’s go Orange,” we wrestling fans will be chanting “2 C DUB – 2 C DUB – 2 C DUB.”
