That momentum continues August 21st, when Aqua Spa Float Center & Wellness Boutique welcomes Jef Saunders, a former President of the Association of Professional Piercers (APP) and internationally recognized educator, for an exclusive three-day luxury piercing event.
The event offers community members the unique opportunity to receive a private, hour-long piercing appointment from one of the industry's most accomplished educators while continuing a larger effort that has shaped Aqua Spa's approach to professional piercing since the service was introduced in 2025: making high-quality education and safe piercing practices more accessible in Upstate New York.
Saunder’s guest-spot at the Aqua Spa Float Center concludes with an Advanced Piercing Techniques Workshop on Sunday, August 23rd at 6pm. This educational piece is specifically geared toward local piercers looking to collaborate with and learn from industry experts.
Professional piercing at Aqua Spa follows the standards established by the Association of Professional Piercers (APP), the nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing safe, ethical, and evidence-based piercing practices. Aqua Spa Float Center & Wellness Boutique’s August Luxe Piercing Experience features (former APP President and current APP Member) Jef Saunders, whose career spans nearly three decades.
Saunders began piercing professionally in 1997 and has taught for organizations throughout North America, Europe, and South America, including the Association of Professional Piercers, the United Kingdom Association of Professional Piercers, the Latin American Body Piercing Association, APP Brazil, and other professional organizations. He served on the APP Board of Directors before serving as President from 2016 to 2018.
