Arlene M. Jenkins, 97, beloved mother, and grandmother died peacefully Saturday October 3, 2026, at her home with her family by her side.
Mrs. Jenkins was born in Fulton, the daughter of the late Arthur W. and Agnes (LePine) Burnett, and she remained a Fultonian.
Mrs. Jenkins loved volunteering always with a smile and a greeting anywhere she was needed. She could be found daily in the A. L. Lee Memorial Hospital snack bar; every year at the Holy Family Bazaar, and Holy Trinity Festival. She was a thirty year volunteer for the Oswego County voter registration, and would bake cakes or make food in support of the Knights of Columbus fundraisers, along with her husband Warren Jenkins. Mrs. Jenkins was most proud of taking care of her husband and their daughters.
Mrs. Jenkins was predeceased by her husband of 73 years Warren Jenkins in 2021, and her sons-in-law Dennis Holland and William Greene Williams III, and her sister Barbara MacEwen.
Mrs. Jenkins is survived by her loving daughters, Carolyn Holland of Fulton, and Karen Williams of SC, her beloved grandchildren John “Jack” (Elizabeth) Holland, and Michele Holland, her great grandsons Steven and Keith Holland; and her sisters Mary Rice of Syracuse, and Donna James of Granby.
Calling hours will be Friday October 9, 2026 from 9:00 AM until 11:00AM, at the Sugar Funeral Home Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM at the funeral home, with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.
