The four winners, who displayed their work in May at Penfield Library for the college's third annual "On My Own Time" exhibition, include Barbara Beyerbach of curriculum and instruction in the School of Education for "On the Way to Taos" in pastels and watercolor; Lisa Drake of Environmental Health and Safety for a photograph titled "Kingsford Bell"; Eric Olson of curriculum and instruction for "Probability Function #1," a sculpture in Vermont Verde Antique serpentine stone on walnut base; and Miranda Whitman of the Publications Office for "Faux Forest," a collage/assemblage.
Organized by CNY Arts, in cooperation with the Everson Museum of Art, "On My Own Time" celebrates the creative talent of faculty and staff who are visual artists outside of work. The community arts program links the business and cultural sectors of Central New York to promote an appreciation of the arts and to recognize creativity in the workforce.
