Write a commentOswego PorchFest is very excited to announce that The CNY ALPHORN ENSEMBLE has joined the ever growing list of performances for Oswego PorchFest September 25, 1-5PM.
The CNY Alphorn Ensemble will perform traditional Swiss music on 13 foot long wooden alphorns. This is the long horn seen frequently in Ricola cough drop commercials. The ensemble plays these horns in full harmony.
The members of the CNY ALPHORNS come from several Upstate NY counties, and perform at many Swiss and German Festivals, such as Oktoberfests throughout the Upstate area. They perform in traditional Swiss outfits which include an decorative version of a Swiss milking shirt and what is commonly called in this country, a porkpie hat.
Come hear for yourself, the sweet harmony of the Swiss mountain alphorn during Oswego PorchFest.
