Juan Perdiguero, originally from Madrid, Spain, is a mixed media artist who combines photography, drawing, and painting in his work. He earned a BFA and an MFA from the Universidad Complutense School of Fine Arts, Madrid, Spain; a second MFA from the University at Buffalo; and a PhD from the Universidad Complutense School of Fine Arts.
He is a Professor of Art at the State University of New York at Oswego Department of Art and Design, where he coordinates the Drawing area. He has been awarded numerous grants and fellowships and has been invited to international artist residencies, including the SUNY Chancellor's Award in Creative and Scholarly Activities, Fulbright Scholar Grant, SUNY Oswego Presidential Award, The SCAC Grant, and Artworks!
He has exhibited his work in numerous national and international galleries and museums, including Galeria Metropolitana, and Galeria 3 Punts (Barcelona, Spain, and Berlin, Germany), Galeria Artificial (Madrid, Spain), Luxx International Gallery (Eindhoven, The Netherlands), Marcia Wood Gallery (Atlanta, USA), Ann Nathan Gallery (Chicago, USA), Exit Art, The Artist Network, and The Alternative Museum (New York, USA), the Burchfield-Penney Art Center and the Albright-Knox Gallery (Buffalo, New York, USA), The Memorial Art Gallery (Rochester, New York, USA), the Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts (Delaware, USA), The Tsinghua University Art Gallery, Beijing, China, etc.
