Write a commentEileen G. Esford (Farley), 92, a resident of Oswego passed away on February 1 at her home surrounded by her family.
Born in Oswego, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Grace (Morrison) Pospesel and was a graduate of the Oswego High School. She was employed with Flexo Wire for 39 years and was the secretary of the IAM Union for 17 years. Eileen was a member of the Lake City Victoria OES for 42 years and the Elizabeth Chapter OES. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose for 16 years and the V.F.W. Auxiliary.
Surviving are her daughters, Barbara (Jack) Labrosse and Geraldine (Robert) Weber, a brother, Bruce (Patricia) Pospesel, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Norien (Hunter)Sweeney, husbands, Harold Farley and Thomas Esford, brothers, Charles Pospesel, Joseph Pospesel, Fred (Betty) Pospesel, Walter (Irene) Pospesel, Arnold (Ann) Pospesel, Nelson (Eileen) Pospesel and a granddaughter, Diane Guy.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 7:00pm from the Dowdle Funeral Home with calling hours from 5:00-7:00 prior to the service.
Spring burial will be in Oswego Town Rural Cemetery.
