Emma Sulfaro, 95, of Oswego, died January 4, 2018 at Morningstar Residential Care Center.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Caterina (Violante) Carpentiero.

Emma and her husband Tony were avid travelers.  They especially enjoyed Hawaii and long road trips with friends from NYC to Alaska.  Emma also enjoyed spontaneous trips to casinos; they especially enjoyed visiting Las Vegas and Atlantic City.  Their life together is commemorated with a bench in Breitbeck Park that their family enjoys visiting.

Surviving are her daughters, Dianne (Vic) Licatese and Karen (Eric) Robzen; grandchildren, Victor A. (Laura) Licatese, Evie Licatese, Anthony V. (AnnMarie) Licatese, Jessica Clancy, and Caitlin (Benjamin) McWhorter; great grandchildren:
Kristina (Jeremy) Licatese-Linn, Melanie Licatese, Nicholette Licatese, Audriana Licatese, and Olivia McWhorter.

She is predeceased by her husband, Anthony “Tony” Sulfaro.

Services will be held 11 am, Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Church.

Burial will be in Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY.

Nelson Funeral Home has care of arrangements.
