Deck the halls at Demon Acres Friday and Saturday nights through Dec. 21! Experience a fun new tradition with the whole family from 5 to 8 p.m. Take a wagon ride through the woods to see over 200,000 holiday lights! Looking for a holiday performance full of spirit, comedy and chaos? Head to the Art Scene at the CNY Arts Center at 121 Cayuga St., Fulton. “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever: The Musical” is a story about the mischievous yet misunderstood Herdman children as they hijack the church’s annual Christmas pageant. Performances run Friday through Sunday, Dec. 13-15. Enjoy family fun at the Holiday Craft and Vendor Fair on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.! The fair features a variety of vendors and crafters, raffles, food trucks, face painting, henna tattoos, and appearances by Santa, the Grinch and other characters. The event takes place at Volney Elementary School, located at 2592 NYS Rte. 3.
Art enthusiasts won’t want to miss the Holiday Art Sale at the Art Association of Oswego! Items for sale include original artwork, watercolors, paintings, ceramics, jewelry, ornaments, greeting cards, and more! Hours are Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 14 and 15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The association is located on Barbara Donahue Drive, across from Fort Ontario, in Oswego. Support the Oswego County SPCA on Saturday, Dec. 14 at its annual Meowy Christmas and Howling New Year Event! Shop for festive items, bring your kids or pets for pictures with Santa, purchase lunch and treats from the bake sale, and more! There will be a variety of raffles to enter and many items donated by local businesses to bid on during the silent auction! The event runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with bidding open until 4:15 p.m. Festivities take place at the State Street United Methodist Church, located at 357 State St., Fulton. Honor veterans and participate in Wreaths Across America Day at Fort Ontario State Historic Site on Saturday, Dec. 14. The ceremony begins at noon in front of the enlisted men’s barracks inside the old stone fort, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at the Post Cemetery. On Sunday, Dec. 15, join “The Memory Makers” for the Santa Express Meet and Greet! Attendees can see the Oswego Express Train, meet Santa and other holiday characters and grab a children’s goody bag. The event takes place from 4 to 6 p.m. in the parking lot of the Oswego Elks Lodge, located at 132 W. Fifth St. Hot cocoa will be provided by the Elks.
