Local Phoenix Ice Cream Shop Helps Feed Local Children
Erin's Angels of CNY and more than 200 local supporters celebrated the birthday of their founder and Executive Director, Sheila Dion by raising approximately $750 with an ice cream party fundraiser. The event was hosted by Tone’s Cones located at 17 Culvert Street, Phoenix, NY on Tuesday, July 15th from 3pm to 8pm. The donation, consisting of a percentage of sales, donations from attendees and a personal donation from Tone’s Cones owner Anthony Furco, will support the Erin’s Angels Ice Cream Program.
“I am so honored that so many people came out to celebrate my birthday, enjoy delicious ice cream, play games, win prizes and raise funds to bring joy to local children experiencing food insecurity," stated Erin’s Angels Executive Director Sheila Dion. "We are incredibly grateful to Anthony and the entire team at Tone’s Cones for their generosity and enthusiasm in supporting our efforts to help feed kids in our community. Their partnership helps us bring our community together in such a joyful way—because of them, every scoop served is a step closer to bringing joy to local children in need. It means the world to have local businesses rally behind our mission."
With every purchase, a percentage of the proceeds was donated to support the Erin’s Angels Ice Cream Program, to help bring smiles (and sprinkles!) to kids in the Phoenix Central School District. In addition to enjoying ice cream and helping to feed local families, dozens of prizes were handed out to kids after playing the game “Plinko” provided by Grow Wealth Partners.
“Partnering with Erin’s Angels for the Birthday Bash is something we’re truly proud of. At Tones Cones, we believe in giving back to the community that’s supported us all these years. It was our pleasure to host and make this event special knowing it’s helping children in need,” stated Tone’s Cones owner and operator Anthony Furco.
