Fire Destroys Garage in Pulaski

The Ringgold Fire Company, along with mutual aid, were alerted by the Oswego County 911 Center at 3:10pm for a barn on fire next to a house at 25 Clark Road within The Ringgold Fire District.

Law and Northern Oswego County Ambulance (NOCA) arrived and reported a working fire. 2381 (Asst. Chief Bright) arrived first due and confirmed the working fire and a second alarm was called.

2381 utilized an attack line while the ariel was set up. 2641 (Sandy Creek) arrived second due and utilized two attack lines for fire suppression. The garage was 20 ft. away from the house and was a total loss. The fire was extinguished and the home sustained minor fire damage to the side of the home.

Ringgold was assisted by the following Fire Departments / Companies- Richland, Mexico, Lacona, Sandy Creek, Altmar, Orwell, Mannsville, and Ellisburg. Ringgold was also assisted by The Oswego County Fire Coordinators Office, Oswego County Fire Investigation Team, Oswego County Mobile Cascade Unit, Oswego County Sheriffs Office, The New York State Police, National Grid and NOCA Ambulance.

Two fireman experienced medical events on scene, one was evaluated and signed off by NOCA and the other was transported with non-life threatening injures to an area hospital. As of this release, both of the fireman are home and doing well.
