     Are you concerned with your health and eating habits these days? Do you eat organic or Gluten-free foods? Looking for a vitamin or supplement provider in Oswego? Or are you just looking for a new grocery store with a wide-variety of items?

     Look no further than your local Green Planet Grocery, which opened in 2004 and has stores in Oswego and Fairmount.
     Brent Lewis, the owner and operator for both stores, graduated from Bastyr University, in Seattle, with nutritional training and a bachelor's degree from the University of Washington.
     Lewis said he recognized the need for a health care store in Oswego and the overall vision of Green Planet is to provide healthy food items and supplements to maintain a natural, healthy lifestyle.
     The store has everything from bulk items to organic produce, meats, cheeses, and yogurts. There are also a wide variety of Gluten-free items and supplements to keep the whole family in good health. Green Planet sells eco-friendly cleaning products as well as organic pet food.
     "The best part about our products is that there's no MSG, high fructose corn syrup, or any other harmful chemicals in them," Lewis said.
     A health and wellness section is located in the store containing books that vary from wrinkle and skin care to health reference books. Green Planet's website offers daily recipes for its customers.
     This is the store's ninth year in Oswego and the owner wants to continue Customer Appreciation Days at the store throughout the year along with open nutritionist appointments.
     "Our store has a nutritionist, Rebecca Lewis, who will come in and make appointments with our customers at both stores," Lewis said. "It's a full shopping experience here at Green planet."
     Dr. Rebecca Lewis practices naturopathy and sees patients on a daily basis by appointment.
     The store plans to continue their hiring process and always accepts applicants. The job, according to Lewis, is great for employees interested in health foods and dietary practices.
     The store is located in the midtown plaza, below Rite-Aid, at 18 E. Cayuga St. Green Planet Grocery is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday-Saturday; and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday.
