The program enrolls 3- and 4-year-olds and is provided at no cost to families. Head Start's goal is promoting kindergarten readiness through a variety of learning materials and developmentally appropriate opportunities that assist children in developing academically, socially, and emotionally.
With centers located throughout Oswego County, Head Start enrolls children from all nine school districts. Families may call the program's main number, 598-4711, for more information or to schedule an application for enrollment. Waiting lists are maintained throughout the school year.
