Brayhope Farm announced today the appointment of three new Directors to its Board: Katy Schell, Alicia Morris, and Jeff Weigand.

Each will serve a three‑year term through 2029, bringing meaningful experience, community leadership, and a shared commitment to supporting neurodivergent individuals and families across Central New York.

“These three leaders embody the heart of our mission,” said Diane Nedrow, Founder & CEO of Brayhope Farm. “Their passion for inclusion, their personal connections to the neurodivergent community, and their dedication to service will help us expand our impact and continue creating a safe, joyful, judgment‑free space for all who visit the farm.”

Katy Schell, Director

Katy Schell is a community advocate from Syracuse’s Eastwood neighborhood and founder of the CNY Neurodivergent Social Group. Inspired by her son’s autism diagnosis and her own neurodivergence, she has become a leading voice for inclusive, judgment‑free spaces in Central New York. Katy hosts monthly meetups and large‑scale events for neurodivergent individuals and families. She joins the Brayhope Farm Board to further strengthen connection and support across the region.

Alicia Morris, Director

Alicia Morris, a Phoenix native and registered dental hygienist, runs a free program that helps neurodivergent children become comfortable with dental visits. She serves on the Board of Families FIRST and founded the CNY Support Group for Autism and Special Needs, inspired by her brother and son, both diagnosed with autism. A longtime supporter of Brayhope Farm, Alicia looks forward to helping more families connect with the “Brayhope Boys.”

Jeff Weigand, Director

Jeff Weigand is a veteran media executive with decades of leadership experience in newspaper operations, advertising, and community engagement. Now General Manager and Associate Publisher of The Eastern New Mexico News, he has held senior roles across Arizona, California, and Central New York. Jeff previously worked in marketing and community relations for Mozaic, formerly The Arc of Oswego County and Oswego Industries Inc., supporting programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He brings deep nonprofit, communications, and leadership expertise to the Brayhope Farm Board.
