Jessie A. (Beginski) Nearbin, 81 and a lifelong resident of Oswego passed away Thursday morning at her home.
She was born in Oswego and was the daughter of the late Albert and Jessie (Charlotte) Andrews Beginski. Jessie was well known in Oswego for her culinary skills that she began at the age of 16 and continued until she retired her apron. None will remember her culinary skills more than her family who always gathered to enjoy grandma's famous mashed potatoes and when the table was cleared and the dishes done, the adults would spend many hours playing Mom's favorite card game, pinochle.
Mrs. Nearbin was predeceased by her husband Robert L. Nearbin, a brother Albert Beginski and a sister Charlotte Peterson.
She is survived by her sister Catherine Beginski, four children Connie (Tim) Murphy, Robert A. (Mary) Nearbin, Guard Nearbin and Caren Nearbin all of Oswego, grandchildren Scott, Michael and Brian Briglin, Josephine Soucy, Jesica Stacks, Jennifer Akissi and Chad Nearbin, nine great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 25, 7:00PM at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home. Calling hours are 4-7PM at the funeral home prior to the service.
Spring burial will be in Rural Cemetery.
