In what has become a tradition in the Oswego City School District, fourth-graders have received an educational publication which will assist them in their writing and vocabulary efforts.

The Oswego Middle School Student Council is conducting a "Team Hallway Decorating Contest" to benefit the Salvation Army. Students and staff are asked to bring non-perishable food items and donate them to the team with the best hallway. Students were extremely creative and the project has brought a positive atmosphere to the school.

The Oswego City School District was recently notified that they would be the recipient of the Expanded Half Day Pre-kindergarten Grant. The funds received would allow the district to add an afternoon class at Kingsford Park School as well as expand a current morning class at Leighton to full-day.
Oswego High School students, on their first day of vacation, volunteered to assist the Salvation Army and the annual kettle drive. The local organization has had difficulty finding enough volunteers to assist during this holiday season.
Volunteers included Mikayla Trapasso, Brianna Pfeifer, Alison Smith, Angie Rookey, Meghan Anderson, Rana Al-Salameh, Celia Fitzgerald and Brianna Batchelor.
