Marilyn J. Putnam, 90, of Minetto, died December 10, 2016 at the Oswego Hospital.
Born in Mansfield, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Pearl (Strom) Thompson.
She was employed at Sealwright, Columbia Mills and retired from Alcan in 1986.
Marilyn enjoyed painting and her dog Duchess. She was a member of the Wally Byam AirStream Club and the Minetto United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Thomas Putnam, whom she married on June 19, 1949 at the West Baptist Church; along with her daughters, Karen (John) Crisafulli, of Oswego; Susan (Kenneth) Patrick, of Fulton; Janet (Dennis) Dumas, of Fulton; Diane (Frank) Bartholomew, of North Carolina; her son, Thomas (Diane) Putnam, of Camillus; a twin-sister Carolyn Warner of Volney; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Willis, Robert, Richard and Albert Thompson.
Calling hours will be held 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Minetto United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Minetto United Methodist Church, 2433 Co Rt. 8 /or the charity of one’s choice.
