Marion Geroux Tuttle, beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and cherished matriarch, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2026 at the age of 97, surrounded by the love of her family.
Over nearly a century, she remained a steady, comforting presence and the heart of her family. Whether she was baking a pie, knitting something for a grandchild, or sharing stories of earlier times, she brought care and intention to everything she did. She anchored four generations with unconditional love and a light-hearted sense of humor.
She is survived by her loving children, Yvonne Scott, Sue (Rick) Hayden, Randy (Debi) Geroux, Blaine Geroux (Shawna Ackerman), and George Geroux; her cherished niece, Sylvia Smith; her beloved sisters, Irene Pospesel and Sandy Elkin (Peter Hujar); her devoted daughters-in-law, Wendy Geroux, Annie Tuttle (Gary Palmitesso), and Joanne Geroux; her grandchildren, Tracy Wyman (Francis LaLone), Dan (Kristy) Wyman, Karey Yacketta, Jason Bauer, Marc Bauer, Missy Pryor (Mike Engel), Amy (Stephen) Champlin, Zach (Melissa) Geroux, Cris Geroux (Amanda Wolsley), Tim (Gina) Geroux, Josh Geroux, Blaine (Sarah) Geroux, Jaime (Ashlee) Geroux, Steven Geroux (Dee Bergman), Chelsea Geroux (Rob Lippke), Catie Geroux (Al Davis), Garett Tuttle (Maiguen Carolla), and Jazzi Tuttle; as well as many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Fran Tuttle; her first husband and the father of her children, George Geroux; and her dear sisters, Virginia Gomon and Shirley Spicer Allred.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, September 26, from 2–4 p.m. at Dain‑Cullinan Funeral Home, with a service immediately following. A celebration of her life will take place afterward at J & J Scriba Venue, 3974 County Route 176, Oswego, NY 13126. In lieu of flowers, Marion would be thrilled with memorial donations made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a cause that held great meaning for her.
