She was born in Oswego Feb. 2, 1927, to the late Harold and Henora Davis. S
he was a graduate of St. Mary's School and the Oswego High School.
Mary is survived by four daughters, Linda (Fred) Thompson, Donna (Gary) Broadwell, JoAnne (John) Bieniek and Marcia (Jose) Alvarado; three sons, Thomas (Mary Ellen) Galvin, James (Pewter and Sammy) Galvin, Richard (Cindy) Galvin; a daughter-in-law, Darlene Galvin; 20 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard "Dick" Galvin; two sons, Richard Thomas Galvin and Robert "Mouse" Galvin; and three siblings, Jim (Jerry) Davis, Anita (Bill) Clare and Helen "Teenie" (Jack) Thorpe.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m., Friday, Oct. 26, from St. Mary's Church.
Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, at the Dowdle Funeral Home, 154 E. Fourth St, Oswego.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
