Born in Syracuse, he was the son of George and Diane (Male) Sanderson of Florida.
Matthew owned and operated his guitar shop, “Tune-Stone Guitars” here in Oswego. He has been an at home musician for the last 15 years making music, building guitars and donating lots of guitars to charities.
Surviving besides his parents, are his wife MaryJean Terpening of Oswego; daughter Aubrey (Mark) Hyde of Fulton; two sons, Robert Sanderson of Syracuse, and Alex Sanderson of Liverpool; a brother, Michael (Shannon) Sanderson, of North Carolina; one sister, Laura (Todd) Brown, of Fulton; his beloved granddaughter Abigail Hyde; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held 2-5pm Saturday with a service to follow at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany Street, Oswego.
