The H. Lee White Marine Museum will host its annual "Christmas at Sea" Open House from 1-4:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 9.

The museum invites the public to come celebrate the holiday season in Oswego's gaily decorated "Historic Maritime District." This program is free of charge.
"Munch on homemade cookies while enjoying our uniquely decorated holiday trees," museum director, Mercedes Niess, said. "This year's theme trees will highlight reindeer, lighthouses and Santa. Model train displays will be exhibited throughout the building courtesy of the Oswego Valley Railroad Association and Museum and a vintage waterfront village is featured under the twelve-foot high Christmas tree."
Santa arrives at 2 p.m. and Niess assures parents that their children do not need to wait in a long line. "Unlike a mall store, children can participate in crafts, listen to stories, hear music or watch the train displays run while waiting to take their turn with Santa Claus," she said. "He will not leave until he hears every child's wish."
The museum and Treasure Chest Gift Shop hours are open 1-5 p.m., Monday–Sunday. Contact the office at 315-342-0480, visit the museum on the web, at hleewhitemarinemuseum.com or facebook.com/hlwmm for more information.
