The H. Lee White Museum and Maritime Center will once again host its annual "Christmas at Sea" Open House from 1-4:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 8.

Come celebrate the holiday season in Oswego's gaily decorated "Historic Maritime District." This program is free of charge.

Munch on homemade cookies while enjoying uniquely decorated holiday trees. This year's theme trees will highlight maritime knots, lighthouses and snow and ice. Model train displays will be exhibited throughout the building courtesy of the Oswego Valley Railroad Association and Museum. A vintage Waterfront Village is featured under the 12-foot high Christmas tree.

At 2 p.m., Santa Claus arrives; there is no need to have your child wait in a long line. Unlike a mall store, children can participate in crafts, listen to, hear music or watch the train displays run while waiting to take their turn with Santa. He will not leave until he hears every child's wish.

The museum and Treasure Chest Gift Shop are open daily 1-5 pm. For more information, call 315-342-0480; visit hleewhitemarinemuseum.com; or on Facebook at facebook.com/hlwmm.
