Oswego County Opportunities, one of the top ten largest private employers in Oswego County, has welcomed fifteen new members to the agency’s staff. The new employees, who will join the OCO’s staff of human services professionals, recently completed the agency’s orientation process and will begin to serve consumers in their respective programs.

Oswego County Opportunities (OCO) recently recognized several resident counselors with OCO Developmentally Disabled Services with longevity awards for 5 years of loyal service to OCO and its consumers.

When it comes to the development of young children and helping prekindergarten children succeed one of the most important resources available is the Head Start program. Operated under the auspices of Oswego County Opportunities (OCO) Head Start, which is available for children age 3 and 4, provides comprehensive education, health, nutrition services, and quality programming so that children are properly prepared to begin kindergarten.
SUNY Oswego President Deborah F. Stanley has named Dr. Pamela Michel as dean of the School of Education, effective July 1.
The Oswego City School District Board of Education recognized the retirement of Brendan Fear at their June 16th meeting. Fear was Director of Technology, Networks, and Information Systems, and has been employed by the district since 1983.
