CNY Community Foundation awarded the Oswego Bookmobile a $2,500 grant in support of its 2025 summer program.
This grant helped cover the increased costs of expanding the Driving Books Home summer literacy program to more communities in Oswego County. Oswego Bookmobile drove books home in Hannibal, Fulton, Pulaski, Mexico, and Palermo in addition to the traditional stops in Oswego.
In response to the CNY Community Foundation support, Susan McBrearty, president of the Oswego Bookmobile said, “It is great to collaborate with CNY Community Foundation. Hosting them at a Breitbeck Park stop in Oswego gave our community a good look at what CNY Community Foundation is bringing to our central New York communities. With this grant, the Bookmobile is able to create meaningful learning moments and help children find books they are excited to read.”
