The Oswego City Band presents “Made in America” at Breitbeck Park on Wednesday, July 3th at 7:30 PM.

The group will celebrate the upcoming Fourth of July by performing John Philip Sousa’s Liberty Bell, Stars and Stripes Forever and Carmen Dragon’s striking arrangement of America the Beautiful. The program will feature Bernstein’s American musical classic Westside Story and Overture to Candide and American favorite Phantom of the Opera. Music by famous American composers Samuel Barber, Frank Ticheli and George Gershwin’s An American in Paris will also be highlighted. Principal trombonist of the USAF Band Washington, DC Pete Sanborn and USAF trumpeter Joseph Hennebery with be featured soloists on Herbert Clarke’s Cousins, and of course no city band concert would be complete without a couple of energetic marches!

Please join us on the lawn and enjoy the breathtaking sunset!

The concerts are sponsored by the City of Oswego, with additional funding provided by the Music Performance Trust Fund and Oswego County Musicians Union, Local 267-441.
