Oswego County Salvation Army Announces Schedule for Harborfest

Barbecued chicken will be on the menu during Harborfest at the Salvation Army, 73 West Second Street, in Oswego. On Friday, July 24, dinners will be served from 3:00 P.M. until sold out. On Saturday, July 25, serving will begin at Noon and continue until sold out. The dinners will include salt potatoes, cole slaw, and a roll.

Parking for Harborfest visitors will be available in the Corps’ lot at 73 West Second Street, for a reasonable fee. Parking may begin at 5:00 P.M. on Friday and all day Saturday from 10:00 A.M.

The money earned from these projects, planned and carried out by volunteers, will support the work of the Army throughout Oswego County all year long. Soup kitchens and food pantries are available in both Fulton and Oswego and other services are provided for people in need throughout the county.

The Oswego County Corps is committed to sending 25 children in need to the Army’s Long Point Camp at Penn Yan over the summer. Individuals and organizations are invited to sponsor one or more children for the camping experience.
