The Oswego State Athletic Department will be sponsoring its first-ever Military Appreciation Nights Friday, Jan. 25 when the Laker men's ice hockey team plays Brockport at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 26 when the Laker men's and women's basketball teams play Cortland starting at 6 p.m. In appreciation of their service, active duty and veteran military personnel of any age will receive two complimentary tickets with military ID.
Move Along, Inc. will also be providing a sled hockey demonstration Jan. 25. Move Along, Inc. is a local organization with a mission to assist individuals of all ages with disabilities with the opportunity to be engaged with recreational activities and gain life skills and adapt to their conditions.
SUNY Oswego has been designated a military-friendly college in Military Advanced Education's 2013 guide.
