Write a commentOn Sunday, June 21st, all boaters in the community are invited to join in the festive parade by "Dressing Ship" with American flags, code flags or award flags.
Historically, this colorful celebration is a way to mark the beginning of the boating season and receive a blessing for safe travels on the water. Boats are asked to begin gathering in the Harbor at 12:30PM. Blessing at 1PM in river near Eastside Marina.
Following the blessing, there will be light snacks available at the Oswego Yacht Club on the pier of the International Marina followed by a brief Memorial Ceremony.
