5th Grade Kingsford Elementary School Student Kylee Hadcock proudly displays a poster she designed for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation's Annual Arbor Day Poster Contest for 5th Grade students held across New York State.

Kylee's poster was selected unanimously by three adult voters at Kingsford Park School to advance to the final round of the contest.

According to Kingsford Park Art Teacher Laurie Yule, each participating district building selects one poster to move forward to the final round in Albany. The winner of the final contest will have the honor of having their artwork replicated as the "official" 2015 New York State Arbor Day Bookmark and receive an invitation to the state's Arbor Day event in Albany, New York. In addition, a tree will be planted at the winner's school to celebrate their achievement.

Kylee is the daughter of Amanda and Mike Belden, and James Hadcock. She is a student in Mrs. Kelly Moxley's 5th grade class.
