A presentation of the Cutler Foundation and the college's public justice department, the event and its speakers will seek to raise awareness that human trafficking does not only happen abroad -- the reality is that it happens in the United States and in New York state.
Guest speakers will include Judge Theodore H. Limpert of Syracuse City Court; Capt. Mark Lincoln of the state Bureau of Criminal Investigation; Estelle Davis, counsel to the state Labor Department's Division of Immigrant Policies and Affairs; and Gonzalo Martinez, a human-trafficking specialist at the Worker Justice Center of New York, a multicultural, multilingual legal service provider and advocate for justice.
Light refreshments will be available. Parking on campus for those without a current parking sticker is $1; visit www.oswego.edu/administration/parking for information on obtaining a $1 one-day permit.
