Pastor Terry E. Plaugher went to be home with the Lord Friday morning, March 22, 2013.
Terry was born on July 11, 1951, in Peoria, Ill., a son of the late Paul and Nola Plaugher.
Terry was a graduate of Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Mo., and received a master's degree from Pensacola Christian College. He taught at North Love Christian School in Rockford, Ill., and had been administrator of Christian Schools in Brandon, Fla., and Indianapolis, Ind.
He pastored First Baptist Church of Fernwood for 17 years and was currently the pastor of Southwest Oswego Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Hannah; his three children; Elizabeth, Tim, and Nathan; and two sisters, Hope Rydberg and Sandra Potthoff; and nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may attend visitation from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, March 26, at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St.
His home going services will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 27 at Southwest Oswego Baptist Church, 7682 state Route 104, Oswego, with Pastor Dan Smith of Buckley Road Baptist Church officiating.
Spring burial will be in Lewis Grove Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Southwest Oswego Baptist Church.
