Patrick J. (P.J.) Woods, 61, formerly of Oswego, died November 11, 2012, at Denver Health Medical Center, Denver, Co. after a short fight with cancer.
Born in Oswego on March 10, 1951, he was a son of the late George and Sarah Steele Woods and attended local schools in Oswego. He graduated from the Rochester Business School and from the Simmons School of Mortuary Science. He was a New York State licensed funeral director.
PJ moved to Denver, Co. 30 years ago, where he owned and operated Traditional Construction Co, specializing in remodeling homes.
PJ was predeceased by his parents; his twin infant sons, Michael and Brian; his brother Elrick (Rick) Woods; his half-brother, George H. Woods Jr.; and his half-sister, Rita Izyk.
Surviving are his daughters, Amy Woods and Molly (Thomas) Elliott, both of Skaneateles; sons, Peter (Bonnie), of Australia, and Casey and Ryan Woods, of Oswego; five grandchildren, Parker, Sarah, Joseph, Mia, and Thomas.
Memorial services will be held in Oswego at 10:3 0a.m., Saturday, Dec. 15, at St. Stephen's Church, Niagara Street, with Father John Smegelsky, family friend, officiating. Burial will be private.
A calling will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday, preceding the service at church.
