Paws Across Oswego County is set to have the very first donated bake sale ever. Area pastry specialists like Aunt Mary's Italian Cookies and Catering Company have donated their products to help PAOC raise much needed funds. So, what is a donated bake sale?
“Kelsey Cloonan and myself recently joined the board of directors at Paws Across Oswego County, to help promote the local non for profit organization and bring awareness to dogs in need.” said Katie France, one of the two newest board members. “As new members of the board, we wanted to find a new way to raise money for this wonderful cause. Our original plan was to host a simple bake sale, but then I thought what if we asked local bakeries to donate their own baked goods to be sold? I mean, who doesn't want a yummy treat from a true baker? So that's what we did.”
This year's donations will be provided by: Black Creek Cafe & Treasures, Aunt Mary's Italian Cookies & Catering, Sweet Shop Desserts by Jodi Osmun , CupCakers Gourmet Cup Cakes and Oswego Tea Company Cafe and Bakery. “Not only are we helping the dogs in need but we are also promoting our local businesses.” said France. “We have our fingers crossed that we will have a fantastic turn out and that we can make this into an annual event.”
