Join the Scriba Historical Society as we welcome Don Babcock for a presentation on the history of Mexico VFW Post 369 on Tuesday, July 14, at 6:30 p.m.
Our program will be held in the Community Room of the Scriba Municipal Building, 42 Creamery Road, Oswego.
For more than a century, the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States has stood as one of America's leading veterans organizations, providing support and advocacy for veterans, their families, and their communities. The history of Mexico VFW Post 369 reflects that enduring commitment to service while preserving the stories and sacrifices of local men and women who answered their nation's call.
During the presentation, Don Babcock will explore the origins of the post, its growth through the years, and the many ways it has served both veterans and the surrounding community. Attendees will gain a greater appreciation for the post's role in honoring military service and strengthening the ties between veterans and the communities they call home.
Following the program, guests are invited to enjoy light refreshments and fellowship. A variety of books highlighting the history of Scriba will also be available for purchase.
We welcome everyone with an interest in local history, military heritage, and community service to attend this informative and engaging program.
