Shineman Foundation announces inaugural board of directors

     Today, the Richard S. Shineman Foundation announced its inaugural board of directors.

     Joining Barbara P. Shineman as directors on the board are Thomas W. Schneider, president and chief executive officer of Pathfinder Bank; Karen Goetz, president and CEO of Inforia Inc.; and Jonathan Daniels, executive director of the Port of Oswego Authority.
     "I am delighted that Tom, Karen and Jonathan have agreed to serve on our inaugural Board of Directors," Barbara P. Shineman, president of the board, said. "I sincerely believe that these individuals possess strong, complementary experiences and skill sets that will greatly enhance the Shineman Foundation. As directors, they will be integral in helping us achieve our vision to become a "Catalyst for Change" for the communities that we will serve."
About the Richard S. Shineman Foundation:
The Richard S. Shineman Foundation is a private foundation established in 2012 by the bequest of Richard S. Shineman, a tenured professor of chemistry at SUNY Oswego Its vision is to become a "Catalyst for Change" across Central New York and, in particular, Oswego County. The Foundation uses its financial resources to work towards this vision by building the capacity of not-for-profit organizations to enhance the quality of life in their communities. At this time, the Foundation is in its organizational stage, and will not be accepting additional grant applications until later in 2013.
