Did you know there is a local market nearly every day somewhere in Oswego County?

Start off the week in Phoenix, with the farmers market held Mondays from 4-8pm at the Lock 1 Distillery. The brewery added an outdoor event space earlier this year, and has debuted the space by hosting a farmers market on Mondays and weekly bike nights on Wednesdays. The market includes vendors like Godfrey’s Last Stand and Murphy’s Acres Chicken Eggs. It started in July this year due to construction of the event space and runs through September; organizers plan to begin next summer’s markets in June.

On Tuesday, head to Hannibal for their bi-weekly market; the next market is being held tomorrow, August 12, from 3-7pm. The market is located outside of the Hannibal Free Library. This week’s event will include an iced drink contest to help quench your thirst in the heat! To participate, bring a pitcher of your favorite home-made cold drink and sign up at the Forest Path Studio tent.

On Wednesday from mid-June through September, the hamlet of Richland offers a farmers market at the Half-Shire Historical Society from 4-8pm. This market includes live music each week from 6-8pm and food from the Pulaski Lions Club. Mexico also hosts its farmers market on Wednesdays from 4pm to 8pm in July and August; that market meets behind the high school.

As most folks know, Thursday is Oswego’s time to shine with the market sponsored by Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce. This well-established market is the largest in the county, with live performances sponsored by Novelis and a wide array of vendors—from henna to pickles to peppers. The market runs from 4-7:45pm, mid-June through the end of October.

On Fridays, head to Pulaski’s South Park for local vendors, food, music, and of course, plenty of farm-fresh produce. This market meets every week from 4-8pm and has been entirely revitalized through the efforts of PROP-Pulaski and Jess Kling. You can read more about Jess and the newly reimagined Pulaski market in our profile from 2024. Parking for this market is at the Ringgold Fire Department up the street. It runs from early June to September 26.

On Saturday, the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce organizes the Fulton market, which meets in the parking lot of Canalview Mall from 8am to noon. The market runs until October 11.

Then, you can round out the week in Central Square with the Sunday in the Square Market from 9am to 1pm. This is an indoor/outdoor market at the Goettel Building on Route 12; parking is located at Lyons Dentistry and Traub Funeral Home. Vendors at this location include Honeysage Homestead, CNY Organic Farms, and a wide range of other vendors. This market does not meet weekly, but occurs on a monthly basis. The remaining dates for 2025 are: August 17, September 21, and October 19.
