Get ready to rock n' roll because Scriba Town Inn is hosting Rockfest this Saturday, June 29, from noon until 11:30 p.m. at 5338 state Route 104.

Rockfest consists of 10 bands, which include Malachai, Bratz n' Blondz, Mercer, Aderis, Strike the Chord and Burn, Bastik, Billy Maxx, Page 9, Top Shelf and Josh Baum. Tickets are on sale at the Scriba Town Inn and Bodified for $10 and will be $15 at the door on the day of the show.
Scriba Town Inn, first established by owner Eric Grimshaw in 1993, is well known for hosting live music.
"We started out as a small dream and desire to bring the best live music to Oswego," said Grimshaw on the official concert website, www.summerconcertstage.com. "Scriba Town Inn is now one of Oswego County's biggest hotspots and the only venue bringing in the biggest names and hottest shows."
The inn was able to book the Rock Never Stops tour in 1999 which featured big names like Warrant, Firehouse and Slaughter and Quiet Riot.
The website states that after the Rock Never Stops tour, Scriba Town Inn took a seven year hiatus from hosting music to redesign the stage and to build concert grounds. It was not until 2006 that Scriba Town Inn once again hosted live music by booking Benny Mardones and Frost Bit Blue.
The website claims, "That [show] led into an 80s rock craze that hasn't stopped!"
promises to continue the 80s rock band theme by hosting a full day of rock bands that are sure to attract a crowd of all ages. Hundreds are expected to attend and people are already confirming their attendance on Rockfest's official Facebook page.
Scriba Town Inn is well known for hosting big shows, especially during the summer. Last year, Grimshaw put together the Summer Concert Stage, which ran through late August.
Perhaps the biggest name that drew a crowd last year was Ed Kowalczyk, former lead singer of the band Live.
"(Ed K) thanks to all the great fans tonight in Scriba Town New York!" Tweeted the singer on July 20, 2012.
In August 2012, the Christian glam metal band Stryper performed at the inn, later posting on their official Facebook page, "Thank you Oswego/Scriba for an absolutely brilliant show!!! We [were] blown away and we'll see you next time! Love and respect...Michael."
Grimshaw made sure this summer is an even better music experience for his patrons at the Scriba Town Inn. Currently, Scriba Town Inn hosts live music every Tuesday from 6:30-9:30 along with day themes. He has also introduced group activities such as the Summer Shootout, which runs for eight weeks at 8 p.m. every other Friday night, where players shoot darts for a chance to win cash prizes.
Happy hours, games and music awaits you at the Scriba Town Inn this summer, as well as the big Rockfest show this weekend.
"Ten bands, music non-stop all day long, good drinks, great people!" Grimshaw said.
