William D. "Billy" Barbeau, 63, a resident of Oswego, passed away January 20, 2015 at the Oswego Hospital, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle.

Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Floyd Kenneth and Beatrice (Larkin) Barbeau. He was an Electrical Planner until his retirement with Constellation Nuclear in 2006. He was also a member of the Boilermaker's Local 175. Throughout his life in Oswego William enjoyed many recreational sports leagues including softball and basketball. He was a life long NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt fan and enjoyed attending races at the Oswego Speedway. He was long time member and loved golfing at the Oswego Country Club. He enjoyed traveling with his family and watching his sons activities through the years. His many race trips, golf trips, time in the villages and cruising in his Corvette were very special to him. He loved the time spent with his very close friends.

Surviving are his wife, Deborah (Nelson) Barbeau; two sons, Timothy M. Barbeau of Oswego; Ryan M. (Beth) Barbeau of Liverpool; a sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Barbeau of Oswego; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his siblings, Kenneth (Dick) Barbeau, Dennis Barbeau, Daniel Barbeau and Patricia Sweeting.

Calling hours will be held 4-7 p.m. Friday, at the Nelson Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.

Donations can be made to the Oswego County Humane Society or St. Jude's Children Hospital.
